Rules
Podiumz is a marketplace for attention. Money decides the order, which only works if everyone knows the terms up front. These apply on every board.
What you can put on a board
- A product, a page, or a profile
- Something with a home of its own — a site, an app listing, a shop, a social profile. The link has to work and go where you say it goes.
- No group chat invites
- Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Signal and the like don't belong here. Boards point at things people can look at, not rooms they get pulled into.
- No link shorteners or redirect chains
- Submit the real destination. If a link hides where it actually goes, it comes down.
- Nothing adult, illegal or counterfeit
- No sexual content, no drugs or weapons, no fakes, no stolen data or accounts, and nothing that attacks people for who they are. This holds no matter what an individual board allows.
- Report anything deceptive
- If an entry isn't what it claims, tell us. We'd rather hear it early than from someone who's already paid.
If you're bidding
- Pay with a card that's yours
- Payments run through Stripe and card details never reach our servers. Using a card you aren't entitled to use ends the account and the entry.
- A completed payment is what claims the rank
- Not starting checkout, not an abandoned cart. Until the payment settles, nothing on the board moves.
- Bids are final
- Payments aren't reversed because you changed your mind, because someone outbid you, or because the results disappointed you. Ask for a refund when something genuinely went wrong — a duplicate charge, or an entry pulled before it was ever shown.
- Disputes take the entry down
- Open a chargeback and the entry is removed while it's resolved. If the payment was legitimate, it goes back up.
If you run a board
- The audience has to be yours
- Boards are for creators selling access to an audience they actually have. Bought or inflated followings are grounds for removal.
- You keep most of what you earn
- Podiumz takes a percentage of each bid and Stripe pays you the rest on its normal schedule. The exact split is shown in your studio before you publish.
- Set your own rules, within these
- Add whatever conditions you like — what you'll promote, how you handle removals, what you expect of a listing. You can be stricter than this page. You can't be looser.
- Price changes aren't retroactive
- Raising your starting bid affects new entries only. Money already paid keeps the position it bought.
- Removing an entry doesn't undo the payment
- If you take something down, settle the refund with the person who paid for it. Don't keep money for a spot you withdrew.
Housekeeping
- We can remove things
- Entries, boards and accounts that break these rules can be taken down without notice. We'll explain where we reasonably can.
- These rules will change
- As the platform grows this page gets updated. Material changes are announced rather than slipped in.
Each board adds its own
Creators set their own starting price and conditions on top of these. You'll find them on the board's rules page before you pay — for example the demo board.
